Weekend in Mississippi

Here are a few pictures of the events of the weekend. We had a great time on the beach as well as in the "country" where Norma's friend treated us to canoeing and mud-riding on a 4 wheeler. Then it was back to work today (Monday) when we continued interviewing the residents of Pearlington, identifying their health care needs and encouraging them to attend the health fair on Saturday. We also got news today that Congressman Taylor, democratic representative for MS, will be visiting us on Thursday for lunch. Connie Hoe, the administrator of the project, was on the news today in Hancock County....so we are really making the news down here. The photographer from the Sun Herald also came and took pictures - so you might see them online if you go to the online print of the newspaper.

Anyway, here are some pictures you might enjoy seeing.

We had a fun day at the beach with Norma's sister and family at their condo.

We made s'mores as well but had to make the skewers for the marshmallows so as not to get burned by the fire.

Our lovely bonfire. We roasted one side of our bodies...then the other. :)

Must say that the sunsets in the south are much more beautiful than those in Philly. They don't have all the smog pollution.

The next day we headed for the "country" and got even more shots. Imagine living in this scenery.
Mud-riding.
Perfect ending to a perfect weekend.
